Zomeractie: Eén fles zonnebrandcrème voor uw bescherming en één fles voor een albino!

In the evening of Friday 28th May we celebrated the First five years of the Stichting Afrikaanse Albinos. ‘On the move for albinos in Africa’ , a dancing procession through down town Utrecht, complete with musical accompaniment, was a great success. 

The weather was fantastic and there were plenty of people on the streets so we were able to claim their attention for this problem and collected a lot of money too.

On 17 August 2009 the Stichting Afrikaanse Albinos entered its sixth year and hopes to continue initiating projects for albinos for many years to come. To be able to live a normal life albinos in Africa really need sub block for the every day protection of  their vulnerable skin!

In celebration of the Foundation’s fifth birthday and to direct attention to the needs of the albinos we shall ‘got moving’ on Friday 28th May. with a conga dance through the centre of Utrecht. Accompanied by swinging African Music we shall to bring our cause to the attention of those who were out and about.  Everyone who joins in is important – just as each albino is important.
So JOIN IN! and get moving on the Domplein in Utrecht Friday 28th May ( from 19.00 hr.). Show that you too find these people too important to be forgotten.

Per 1 april 2010 heeft Stichting Afrikaanse Albino's een nieuwe postbus. Het nieuwe adres is: Postbus 370 3500 AJ Utrecht.

AAFU, de Albino Associatie in Uganda timmert goed aan de weg. De Associatie wordt steeds profesioneler en meer en meer albino's nemen zelf het voortouw.

Stichting Afrikaanse Albino's heeft eerder een online enquete afgenomen met als doel om input te krijgen over onze website. Na vijf jaar is het tijd voor een nieuwe website.

Samen met kunstenares Euphro Blaauw is speciaal voor de Stichting een unieke set van 5 wenskaarten samengesteld. Met de opbrengst van de verkoop van deze kaarten wordt het transport van zonnebrandcrème naar de verschillende landen in Afrika mogelijk gemaakt. 

In 2009 had de Stichting Afrikaanse Albino's als doel gesteld om 15180 flessen zonnebrandcrème te versturen. We zijn ruim boven ons doel uitgekomen! Maar liefst 15772 flessen zonnebrandcrème zijn aangekomen en er is nog 1 transport onderweg. 

Er is een nieuwe Associatie opgericht waar onze contactpersoon in Mali, Moussa Fofana ook een bijdrage aan heeft geleverd. Mevrouw Dembélé Aicha Diakité die zelf ook albino is, heeft in juni 2009 de SIAM (Solidarité pour l'insertion des Albinos du Mali) opgericht.
